We Play with Purpose

It all started with a Facebook post and a few mates looking to shift some lockdown weight. What followed was something far more powerful: a team built not just on football, but on connection, community, and compassion.

We’ve got players from all walks of life; teachers, builders, veterans, Dads, students - united by a shared love of the game and a desire to give back. We play for fitness, for laughs, and for causes close to our hearts.

We’ve supported those struggling with mental health, PTSD, grief, and social isolation. For some, ECFC isn’t just a team, it’s a lifeline. And we’re proud to be that safe, supportive space.

Pinhoe Community Hub

Supporting the creation of the
Pinhoe Community Hub

This project is about more than bricks and mortar, it’s about building an inclusive, welcoming space that brings lasting benefit to everyone in our community.

The new community centre will be located at Station Road Park, replacing facilities that have sadly fallen into disrepair and can no longer serve the needs of local people. By redesigning and rebuilding, we have the chance to create something truly special, a safe and accessible hub that reflects the diversity and strength of our community.

Our vision for the centre

Inclusive for all – welcoming people of every age, religion, culture, and background
Accessible – designed to ensure disabled people have equal access to facilities and activities
Community-driven – shaped by the people who will use it, reflecting the needs and voices of local residents
Supporting an environmentally friendly build – the new centre will be designed with the environment in mind, using modern methods that reduce impact and create a greener community
Sustainable – built to last, both physically and financially, offering a safe and vibrant place for generations to come

Through our network of connections and the support of our community, we are working to drive this project forward and make the vision a reality.
